ZzzThai Project |

In 1996, a group of Thai students in The University of
Electro-communications (UEC) talked together
about a project that we can do before graduation from
this university.
We are interested in computer and were willing to make a
project about computer. At that time, Internet was like a
fashion, it was new and we had planed a project about
"How to use Thai language with various computer
platform".
As the result, it is ZzzThai Project or in Thai name
" ",
"Commucating in Thai language".
We establish
Thai student group and share some knowledge together. We hope
that everything from this site may be useful to
other people. In present time, document generated in
Thai language is
increasing
everywhere. Therefore, ability of using Thai language in computer
system is the most important one for us Thai people. For
this reason,
we hope that "ZzzThai" will be one
of the basic
project that provide us a solution to be able to use Thai
language on
computer. This will promote Thai people to use Thai language to
exchange information each other.
Most of our documents were
written in English so that foreigner can read them as
well as Thai people.

We summarized how to use Thai language with various
computer platforms, UNIX, Linux, Windows95/98 and
Macintosh. We have studied, searched information from
internet and made our own experiment on installing
things.
In some platforms, we also created a package for
end-user.
The package include Thai fonts, Thai keyboard layout and
some applications. They are all free.
