【Important】About special benefit from JAPAN government（ISO Office)
This is Important news from the International Student Office, The University of Electro-Communications.
Due to the emergency economic measures for the new coronavirus infectious disease in JAPAN, the implementation of a special benefit project is planned by Japan government.
Benefits are for those who are recorded on the resident registration at municipality by April 27, 2020.Foreign nationals residing in Japan are also eligible if they are recorded on the resident registration at municipality.
The application documents will be mailed from the city where you live. You need to apply by mail or online (online procedure is only available for holders of My Number Card).* If you do not apply for yourself, you will not receive benefits !
The start date of apply and payment is vary depending on the municipality.
However, the application deadline is within 3 months of the application start date.
So, as soon as you receive the mail, let's apply for it!
Therefore...
1) Are you updating the address on your residence card?
The application documents will be sent to the address on your residence card.
If you have not updated your address by April 27th due to moving, etc., Urgently go or call to the city hall and change your address.
2) Do you have a bank account?
Basically, the benefits will be paid to the bank account in the name of the applicant.
(You cannot use overseas bank accounts or accounts in the name of your parents)
