Who is "TSAJ"?

Our full name is Thai Students Association in Japan Under the Royal Pratonage (TSAJ). In 1903 the first batch of Thai students arrived in Japan. They were supported by Thailand`s King during that time, Somdetprapunpeeruang, which later on was known as the King`s scholarship. After that the number increased tremendously until it was possible to form the Association. On April 4, 1939, by H.M.`s kindness we were grought under Royal Patronage and recieved our name since then. During World War 2 , the Thai Embassy building was severly damaged. Most of the documents were burnt. Our activities had to stop temporary. After World War 2 was over, a meeting was held at the Kokusai Gakuyuukai. At the meeting it was decided that the Association should continue its activities and the rules of the Association should be reconsidered and changed to suit the situation. Therefor on December 10,1954 a group of committee was appointed at The Thai Embassy to restart and continue the Association. From then on until today the Association has been working actively and this year is the 57th batch of the commitee and members.
