Impression of UEC
When I got to UEC I was first surprised by how tall the
buildings are. All the universities I have seen in Canada
have mostly two or three storey buildings. UEC seems like
a very big university to me.
Most of my classes are about interesting topics, and
the professors are quite good. I was surprised by how
small some of the classes are - in some, there are only 2
or 3 people. I suppose that's because they are classes especially for JUSST students. At first, I thought my room in the International House was very small, but I have found it is quite convenient having everything I need located in one room. It's very nice being able to just walk out my front door and be on the campus. I am accustomed to a long walk through the snow to get to school, so it has been great living here .Also, since UEC is so close to Chofu station, I've beenable to visit various places in Tokyo quite frequently. I've also enjoying being able to shop at large department stores only a few minutes walk from the school.
