Before I came to Japan, I was really excited what kind of university UEC was. Arrived on October at noon, UEC was crowded with many students because it was lunch time. After several weeks, it turned out that UEC had quite a calm environment with many trees. Its more quite compared to my home university. What made it more interesting was that the number of males in this campus were a lot more than females. That was why I only found a few number of females in this campus.
Speaking about the students, one of my Japanese lecturers here once told me that the English ability of UEC students were quite low. Because of that, sometimes it was difficult to communicate with the students here. But I also knew some Japanese students who could speak a very good English! Beside Japanese students, there were foreign students enrolled in this university too. They were from Thailand, China, German, Mexico, Srilanka, India, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Korea, and so on.

I had a lot of classes in UEC. In total, I had 16 classes that I have to attend every week, including seminars in my laboratory. Even though I needed to spend a lot of time in classes, but I really did think that it was very fun. The classes were very interesting and I could learn a lot of things here. Other than classes, I also needed to do research in UEC and I would present my research twice. The way to do the research was totally different from the one I had in my home university and I really did enjoy it because of this difference.
Now, I think that living in Japan is be very nice and I am sure I will have a great experiences in Japan for 1 year.
