(News)

I get a lot of my news from the internet. With more sources, I feel that it allows me to keep a more balanced idea of events. WSJ leans right, NYT leans left, FT gives an outsider view and the Yomiuri can be downright weird.

Additionally, I read a couple of comic strips online, to brighten my day.

Slashdot:News for Nerds.Stuff that Matters. - What's going on in computers, music litigation, and other fun stuff.

The Wall Street Journal - The best U.S. internet source for national and world news. Requires a susbscription, though.

The New York Times on the Web - What's going on in the nation and in the world. All this plus Doonesbury.

The Financial Times - A British newspaper that uses many international sources

The Daily Yomiuri -English translation of a Japanese newspaper.

Rockwood - A comic strip I first saw in the Oklahoma Daily.

Penny Arcade - A comic about video games.

One thing that the internet can do for you is let you listen to radio stations that aren't run by Clear Channel Communications. I like to listen to KCRW. It's a publicly supported NPR station. I don't listen to it for the NPR, though. I can get that from the OU station. What I enjoy is their music selection. They don't really have a format, other than trying very hard to only play good music. Give them a listen. You won't regret it.
