Home University

Griffith University is a multicampus institution located in the Brisbane and GoldCoast regions of Queensland, Australia. It consists of six campuses at Nathan, Mt Gravatt, Logan City and the Goldcoast in addition to the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, the Queensland College of Art. The total student number is 22,000. This includes 2,500 international students.

The Nathan Campus is set in the Toohey State Forest
The School that I belong to is located at the Nathan Campus, with is 10 minutes from the city center. This campus was originally established in the early 1970's to relieve some of the load that the University of Queensland was experiencing in terms of student growth. Today there are 3 universities in Brisbane. Since that time the university has been expanded with successive government restructures and now maintains campuses from the City center right through to the Goldcoast. Many of its programmes are unique within Brisbane and some such as the Microelectronic school are unique within Australia.
