Japanese Experience |

Soon after arriving there was a holiday called Golden week which gave me some time off from Japanese classes and let me visit some of the sights around Tokyo. You can see some of the pictures I took at that time above. You will notice the number of people. The attractions such as Asakusa were very popular at this time, however usually there are less people. Since that time I've been to all sorts of places.. including Landmark Tower in Yokohama. Above is a photo I took from the Skygarden on the 69th Floor (70 floors total). The elevator is the fastest in the world and you can watch it red-lining at 750 meters per minute as you go up. The trip takes maybe 30 seconds. There is a very good view and on a clear day you can see shibuya. The bottom center picture is of other exchange students during an excursion to Kamakura. From the right side you can see Phisut from Thailand and Seri from Indonesia. They arrived to japan at the same time as me and they also have a home page. |
