My first impression in Japan

This is the second time I come Japan. But this time is different from the first time, because the last time I came to travel but now I came to study and research for 1 year. I came to Japan for the first time 5 years ago. It was August in the period of summer. It was so hot; but the hot was different from Thailand. I stayed for 2 weeks in Ishikawa, Kyoto and Tokyo.

By this time, I arrived at Narita Airport in the morning of 3rd April 2002. I wore a T-shirt and jeans from Thailand, because the weather in Thai was about 37C degree. But when I got out of the airplane, the weather was colder than as I think. I've never felt cold like this before. After I passed the immigration section I went to buy the ticket for the limousine bus and went to buy a phone card to call to Professor Suzuki to get me from Shinjuku. I was surprised how Japanese people cannot speak English although they are working at the airport, such as immigration limousine's staff. Although they tried their best to communicate with me. I think Japanese people are very friendly.

In the first day in Japan, my senior friend took me to Seiyu and Tsurukame, the supermarket near the university. Everything are very expensive such as watermelon, you can buy it in Thai approximately 10 with the same money. So my senior friend said you should buy it on Tuesdays, because there is a discount.

In the third day, I went to Fuji-Q amusement park near the Fuji mountain. The weather in this day was clear but it was so cold. It was the first time to see the Fuji mountain, so It was very fantastic. Because of it is bigger than I thought and more beautiful than it is in the picture. In the amusement park, there are a lot of exciting attractions. I tried "Fujiyama", the roller coaster that was the highest, longest and fastest in the world in 1997, and "Dodonba", the newest roller coaster in the park that 90 degree climb up and down.

In the fifth day, I went to see the blossom of flowers called "Hanami". But in this day, almost Sakura fell down. After Hanami I went to Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum. I saw the life and architecture of Japanese house from the ancient period untill now.

I think every thing in Japan impressed me. I'd like to come back here again after I graduate JUSST program.
