King Mongkut's Institute of technology, Ladkrabang
My home university's name is King Mongkut's Institute of technology, Ladkrabang. King Mongkut is the name of the King Rama 4, known as Father of Thai Science, in the era of Rattanakosin.
The Institute has two campuses.
The main campus is in Ladkrabang District which provides all facilities for students and staff members.It is in the east area of bangkok. You can take the van or train to there. But I alway drive the car to there. It takes about 40 minutes from my house.
Chumporn Campus, founded in 1995, is situated in Lamplatiew District, Chumporn Province and has 1800 hectares of land. At present economic crops such as rubber, oil palm, pineapples, mangoes, medicinal plants, flowers, etc. have been planted on 2000 hectares. In collaboration with a Royal project, a dairy plant will also be built to supply pasteurized milk to the southern region. The first full-time degree course being taught at this Campus is the B.Sc. programme on Crop Production Technology with emphasis on tissue culture breeding, physiology of crops and post-harvest technology is currently offered. B.Eng. programme will also be offered in the near future.
