The University of Queensland (UQ), is located in the city of Brisbane which is the capital city of the state of Queensland. UQ is one of the largest universities in Australia. Students at UQ have the option to study in alomost any field of study at UQ. The UQ academic year is divided into two semesters with the first beginning from the end of February and ending at the end of June, and the second beginning in July and ending in November.

At UQ I am studying a double degree: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Arts with a double-major in Japanese. I have so far completed 2 years of this course making this year my third year as a university student. When I return to Australia next year I will study for a further two years to complete my engineering degree.
