【Report】Professor of TAU visits UEC

On August 31, 2018, Dr. Colin Price, the Full Professor of Tel Aviv University (TAU) in Israel, visited the University of Electro-Communications. Dr. Nakano, the Member of the Board of Directors, Prof. Hobara of the Department of Computer and Network Engineering, and Assist. Prof. Sasaki of the Center for International Program and Exchange, welcomed Dr. Price, and they had active discussion for future research collaboration and student exchanges between the two universities.
Dr. Price is the leading researcher in the field of lightning activity in Atmospheric Sciences, and he was invited UEC under the international project of UEC to invite eminent scientists from around the world. After the meeting, Dr. Price gave a lecture on “Lightning and Severe Weather” at the university campus.
Dr. Price’s visit to UEC was a great opportunity to further promote the international collaborative activities between TAU and UEC.
