Project (3/2009) | Research on Location Finding System with PHS |
Supervisor | Prof Hiroshi HOSAKA, The University of Tokyo |
![]() Position calculating method in this research using PHS is called RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indication) position calculation method. This method is a technique to estimate a PHS terminal location based on the positions of PHS cell-stations and each cell-stations’ RSSI received by the PHS terminal. Position calculation methods were devised based on a least square method and an application of elastic center method. The accuracies of these methods were verified.

Project (4/2007-3/2008) | Analysis and Simulation of Electromagnetic Field by CIP Method (Thesis Jp, En) |
Supervisor | Prof Matsunaga Shigeki, Kushiro National College of Technology |
In this research, Constrained Interpolation Profile (CIP) method proposed by Yabe.et.al, method of characteristics and time splitting method are applied to electromagnetic field equation (Maxwell's equation). The calculated result in analysis domain is compared to that by FDTD method. As a result, the undesired numerical oscillation is not observed on the calculated result by CIP method whereas the one is observed on the calculated result by FDTD method. Finally, we verify the calculated result by CIP method is more accurate than that by FDTD method. |
