The other week I went with Naomi to see her uni's rugby team play a match at
Chuo university. As you can see rugby is very professional over here, Naomi's
uni is the one with the multicoloured jerseys, although they dont all
necessarily have the same jersey on...
Another example of professionalism, the referee is the guy in the singlet with
the baseball cap on backwards. I'm glad I wasnt playing this day, 30+ degrees
and the ground was very dry and dusty, and rock hard!! (these 2 photos were
taken by Naomi)
This is my university's rugby ground down near the Tama River. This ground at
least has some grass around the in-goal areas. It had been raining a fair
bit during the week, so the ground today was just mud (literally), but at
least its better than the dusty, rocky surface that we usually have to
practise on.
Myself with Tomoya, watching the Dentsudai Old Boys team in action
The Dentsudai Old Boys Team in action (Dentsudai are in white)
This is the Dentsudai team, after our match against the Old Boys, which we
lost!! The girls on the left are our teams 'managers', who carry the water,
kicking tees, and keep track of the score.
More drinking...
Here is Alison (from my Japanese class last semester over here on holiday),
Tymon and me, out drinking somewhere in Shinjuku
As you do when you are out drinking, you then play stupid games like this one,
'Dancemania', its rather hard if you are as unco-ordinated as I am
I'm much more comfortable playing 'Final Furlong', where I kicked Tymon's
butt!!
