My name is Fernanda Miyuki Yamada. I am from Federal University of ABC (Santo André, São Paulo) and I am a 4th year student of Computer Science course.

I think The University of Electro-Communications has a unique vision toward the educational process, integrating science, innovations and society in a completely different way. The environment of the university urges the students to be motivated and promotes a continuous learning process and it is exactly what I am searching for in my academic lifetime. The university also affords me the opportunity to work in a research environment that stimulates my creativity and increases my professional and personal experiences.

Personally, I have always been fascinated about culture and history of Japan. The experience of living in here is incredible and it is possible to learn a lot about japanese culture and lifestyle.

As a Computer Science student, the main reason I wanted to come to Japan is that it is a leading country in many technological fields. Japan is always promoting innovations that are essentials for my fields of study, chiefly information technology and digital technology. Many areas of computer science are well established here, such as artificial intelligence, health informatics, computer graphics and information science. Therefore, I thought I would be able to improve my knowledge in these areas more than in other countries.

Also, I met some very interesting people and made some great friends for life. I am really grateful for having the chance to meet people who made my stay in Japan a great experience.
