My first impression of Japan
It's difficult to express it with several words but I can try... Ofcourse my first impressoin was from the airplane and as a first flight it was increadible for me. Travelling to the Country of the rising sun early in the morning, all these islands seemed as a new wonderful world separated from this which I'm used to live in by the blue ocean. |
Just arrived on the airport and I understood that speaking English is not enough to get wherever you want in Japan. It's a pitty that the people here are not encouriged to study foreign languages. They are like a closed community speaking only their own language and knowing the way to their own job and following the common understanding of what is good and bad. But I think that they are not guilty about this, they are just citizens of this country which controls them. Since my first touch with japanese people until now I'm amazed of their kindness. It seem as a mask which everybody here must wear. I liked the social character of the human relations here but as I don't know many japanese people personaly I still wonder how these people behave in their private life. I was impressed how ordered and clean this place could be. Everything has it's own place and everybody knows what's the rule. |

That makes Japan a calm place to live and makes you feel safe but it also annoys you with its
ponctuality. On my arrival I was a little bit disapointed that all the buildings in the city were grey and square. In all this urbanization arround I missed the colours of the day. But when I saw Tokyo in the night from the top of the Tokyo tower I changed my mind and now I think that this is one of the most beautiful places I've seen. |
