I'm Iva, nice to meet you!
Hajimemashite:)
My name is Ivelina and I come from Bulgaria. Here everybody knows my country because of the yogourt advertisments - Burugaria Yoguruto. My hometown name is Dobrich and it is situated in the north-east part of Bulgaria near the seaside, in the middle of the region named Golden Dobrudja. Itīs so nice to live near the sea, you can always escape classes and go to the beach, ah... Last four years I used to live in Sofia because of my study. I just graduated my Bachelorīs degree in Computer
Science in Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics in Sofia university and I started a Master Program in Computational Linguistics in Institute of Mathematics and Informatics in Bulgarian Academy of
Sciences.
I would like to play more attention to the place I live in Sofia - Student city. This is a quarter of Sofia built especially for students to live. There are the dormitories of all the universities in Sofia. You can imagine the pleasure to live only with young people and having the most convenientfacilities in the town. After the city center this is the most famous place in Sofia. There we have a lot of disco clubs, bars, 24h shops and supermarkets, 24h fast food places and the best pizza. Every time you go outside you see so many people that you can get confused with time. The night life in the Student city is similar to this in the resourts where the tourists enjoy each minute of their stay and donīt lose time to sleep. But still one of the most charming things here is the Local Area Network. The hole city is cabled in a LAN made by the students themselves. This is one of the most precious things in the Student city and especially the shares you can find - games, music, movies, software, whatever you want. I hope that you became at least a little curious about this place...
My professional interests are Language processing, Information Extraction and Information Retrieval. In my work I would like to combinine Linguistics with Computer Science in order to make the world better and people understand each other even they donīt speak a common language.
