Institute Technology of Bandung (ITB) is a university located in West Java of Indonesia, Bandung and one of the oldest university in Indonesia. It was founded in 1920 but changed its name in 2nd March of 1959 into Institute Technology of Bandung and has a long history. Many notable people has graduated from there including the first president of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno. ITB is an university that focussing in technology, science and art, lately bussiness. The institute itself is divided into twelve faculties with School of Business and Management as the lastest one to be established.
The students can enjoy many facilities that campus is offering, including fitness centre, swimming pool, running track, basketball field, etc. There are many students organizations and clubs inside the campus. Each major has an indepent organization, for example Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Lingkungan (HMTL) or Environmental Engineering Student Association for my department. There are also more than 100 club based on hobbies and interest. Students can pick and join any clubs freely and do any activities that the club is offering. This is making students to practise other activities aside from their major and they can meet and widen their social life.

Environmental Engineering is one of major being offered by ITB. This studies is focussing in how to make the environment becoming better for human and environmental health. Majorities of the studies is focussing in science and its application for making safety for human and natural life that always connects to environment and how to prevent the destruction of environment because of human activities. The major itself is divided into four years of studies and mainly related to basic science, mathematics, and basic engineering related to chemical and civil works.
