My research title is Indonesia’s Plastic Waste Management Improvement Based on Japan’s Plastic Waste Management and Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Concept, which consist of comparative study and scientific research.

These comparative study and scientific research are aimed to get information about plastic waste management, how to deal with any types of plastic waste in order to minimize the bad impact of poor plastic waste management in Indonesia by learning from the existing condition in Japan as an effort for better environment. These study and research also describe about technical and non-technical (governmental, social, economy, and communication) action in plastic waste processing and its application especially in concept of Waste-to-Energy (WTE) which converse plastic waste into energy by thermal process.

As my goal, these comparative study and scientific research could be one of literature and source for improving Indonesia’s plastic waste management based on WTE concept and concern with environmental sustainability. Furthermore, the technical and non-technical aspects which described in this writing can be applied in community scale until city or prefectures scale based on quantity and quality of plastic waste and chosen treatment management and process. The main consideration in applying this research result is making good cooperation with Indonesian communities and governments on giving knowledge necessity of plastic waste problem due to energy conservation and sustainable environment.
