My home university

My home university is Tallinn University of Technology which as the name says is located in Tallinn. Tallinn is the capitol of Estonia. The university is quite big compared to the others so it is one of the biggest universities in Estonia. There are many buildings in the campus on the area of 55,5 hectares. In my home university there are 8 faculties and about 14 000 students, about 800 of them are students from foreign countries. Tallinn University of Technology was founded in 1918.

I study in the Faculty of Information Technology in Department of Informatics. My speciality is software engineering.

There are many student activity clubs and events are held for students every week so the life there can not be boring for anyone. There is a really big gym, a car racing club, different choires and so on.

My university is not so packed with buildings as UEC is, there is also a park in the center of the campus. On some days I have classes in different buildings so by walking it takes sometimes up to 8-10 minutes to get to the other building, so there is a high chance of being late to class, especially in winter when the walk paths are slippery.
