First impression: UEC

The first thing I noticed about UEC was that the campus is quite large and packed compared to my home university's. Also the buildings are much higher - I guess the highest building in my home university's campus is about six or seven stories high.

I actually like the dormitory rooms in International House. I was afraid they are much smaller but actually they are just the right size. What is funny though is that in order to take a shower you have to move the sink away - I have not seen such solution before. And it's really nice to have a small kitchen in the room. I like that a lot.

The staff of UEC, like the international student office, the teachers and professors, are really helpful and supporting so when ever I have had some question or a problem they have helped me.

The first classes I went to scared me a little bit because there were many formulas and equations in the materials. Ofcourse I had seen those before when I was undergraduate student but as the emphasis was not so much on those equations then I don't remember them anymore. I guess this is one big difference between the education that I have had and the one in Japan.
