Delegation from Shenzhen Science and Technology Association Visited UEC

On September 29, 2010 a delegation from Shenzhen Science and Technology Association, CHINA, visited UEC. Chairman ZHOU LuMing and five other representatives of related organizations in Shenzhen had a lively exchange of views with UEC representatives. Following the welcome speech from Dr. Makoto KAJITANI, President, Dr. Fukuda, Director, Center for International Programs and Exchanges (CIPE) gave an introduction and a presentation on internationalization updates at UEC, and Dr. Miki, Special Advisor to the President, gave a presentation on industry-academia collaborations at the university.


In turn, the delegation made presentations on the Shenzhen Science and Technology Association and their new Science Museum due to open in a few coming years, followed by introduction of each organization’s distinguishing characteristics. Discussion covered how industry-academia-government collaborations and personnel exchanges in the future could be done between the two parties. As a result of this visit, further developments in this newly established relationship are anticipated.
