Summer Short Exchange Training Program 2011 with UESTC Completed
A conferring ceremony for Summer Short Exchange Training Program with UESTC (University of Electronic Science and Technology of China) was held on Tuesday, August 23.
The ceremony began with conferring of certificates by Prof. Fukuda, Director of Center for International Programs and Exchange to the three UESTC students who completed the program. It proceeded with introduction and a series of demonstrations, by the students, of the self-assembled, inverted pendulum vehicle with optical line trace sensor as their achievement.
UEC and UESTC have been mutually conducting this program since 2010. This year, UEC accepted three UESTC students in Ming Lab, Dept of Mechanical Engineering and Intelligent Systems and provided them with the technical training there from July 22 to August 25. In late August, UEC is scheduled to send three students to UESTC campus in Chengdu and let them participate in technical training for one month.
This program has been approved for Short Stay & Short Visit Program by JASSO (Japan Student Services Organization) this year and implemented with its scholarship support.
