The Director of ELFSC-The University of Newcastle Visited
Mr. Seamus FAGAN, Director of the English Language and Foundation Studies Centre - University of Newcastle (ELFSC-UoN), Australia, visited the Center for International Programs & Exchange (CIPE), UEC on Nov. 17, 2010.
Mr. FAGAN reported on their language training curriculums and staff renewal, followed by a discussion with the UEC students who had joined a short program in ELFSC. As a result of this visit, new developments are expected in the partnership between UoN and UEC begun in 1992.
Being the top executive of leading English educational organizations in Australia for several years now, Mr. FAGAN has made many contributions to Japan-Australia exchange. He has been involved with promoting language training programs for English teachers of elementary and junior high schools in Japan conducted by MEXT*, with assistance from the Australian Embassy.
