UEC - The University of Electro-CommunicationsIndex Me... UEC Impressions of Japan Me (Hobbies/Interests) UQ Studies Links |
In terms of this university's staff and their organization, I have found it particularly good. Leaving my friends and family was daunting at first, but with the help of teachers and other staff, settling in has been fairly easy.
The setting is also a little different here compared to UQ. Firstly, there is 6 periods a day, and these periods have a set time...it reminds me very much of highschool, only thing missing is an annoying bell. Since there are set periods, everyone usually eat at the same time and at the only cafeteria available. The food there is much better than at UQ's refectory which I think is a big plus.
UEC is also nice in terms of facilities and environment, and I am looking forwarding to spending the year studying here. An added bonus is that this university is situated close to the train station and the heart of Tokyo, which will no doubt be convenient in getting the most out of this city.
I'm adding this bit in as an afterthought, because quite a few people have wanted to know how my room is. You probably can't see it from the photos, but the room is fitted with all the necessities, including shower, toilet and kitchen. If you were wondering, there are actually many apartments which don't include these, and has a communial one instead. Anyway, I've included a link which has a movie clip of my room, download it if you don't mind waiting.
As well as this, everyone in the international house dormitory can speak english, so it's been easy to get acquainted with people from all over the world. Overall, I love being here.
