::: First Impression of Japan :::

Kanji Character, crowded, clean and high discipline was my first impressions of Japan. The first time I arrived in Tokyo, I've seen many kanji characters everywhere. In fact most of the signs, advertisement are in kanji. It is the first time for me to see so much kanji, because I don't see much those characters in Indonesia.

Japan, especially Tokyo has the most complicated railway system. There are so many rail companies and lines. Among those lines, I think the most important one is Yamanote line. Just remember how to get to the station in Yamanote line if you get lost in Tokyo, after that find Shinjuku, and you'll be safe.

You will usually see many people in the station. During the rush hour station is very crowded with people. The train is very full. At this time you will have the experience you're being pushed by another people just to provide space for another passenger.

Japanese people are very kind to address foreigners. Once when I was looking for Indonesian embassy in Gotanda, I asked an old lady where this address (5-2-9 Higashi Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku) is. That surprised me, instead of telling which way to go there; she escorted me to the Indonesian embassy, about 10 minutes walk. She's very kind.

Most of Japanese foods are delicious. In the first week in Japan I tried sushi with my JUSST friends in a restaurant in Chofu. It was good, but I don't like the taste of wasabi. I don't know what the word to express its taste is, maybe you should try one.

Overall, I want to say that I like Japan. There are new things for me that I haven't found in my country. On the other hand I can't fine many things that exist in my country. You have to live with that.
