[Report] KIMONO and SADO(tea ceremony) Class

Feb 1st, 2020, 11 male students and 10 female students among the UEC foreign students participated in a kimono and tea ceremony class. The students chose their favorite kimono from the various colorful kimono and obi, and the teacher dressed them up and arranged their hair. After putting on the kimono, they also experienced the Japanese green Matcha tea (powdered green tea) with the traditional Wagashi (Japanese sweets). The teacher explained the Sado (Japanese tea ceremony) to the students and showed them how to hold the tea bowls. This is the first experience for the students, and they said they were very happy to be able to expose locals to a part of Japanese culture.
