Application for Permission to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted
If you would like to work part time, you must obtain a Permission to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted at the Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau (for more information see "Part-Time Work and Work PermissionPart-Time Work and Work Permission"). Also, the same permission is required to participate in a corporate internship.
You may apply without “Fukushinsho (the application for school permission)” after July 2010 for the above cases.
Please note Permission to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted is not required to be a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Research Assistant (RA) at the university.
