Tutoring Program

For newly entering international students (undergraduate students, graduate students, and research students), a senior student will serve as a tutor to offer extracurricular instruction and support concerning Japanese-language study, basic academic skills, study and research in the student’s specialized field, and everyday life.

The time period for tutoring services is a maximum of two years for undergraduate students and the first year for graduate students and research students.

Tutors are assigned by the university, based on recommendations from advisory faculty for international students (for undergraduate students) or academic supervisors (for graduate students and research students). If you have any special requests or would like to change your tutor, please consult your academic supervisor or the International Student Advisor.
