This Japanese home visit is the most beautiful night I have ever experienced in Japan. Ms Natori picked us up at 13:00 o’clock on June,22.

I felt I would never regret for taking this opportunity to apply a home visit to Ms Natori. We watched the documents about one Japanese actor who has travelled around China during two years. And we talked to each other in mixed Japanese and Chinese about the various cultures in China and Japan.

Ms Natori, who has already 70 years old, has cooked much traditional Chinese food for us and I learned how to make spring rolls from Ms Natori. The spring rolls had vegetables, tofu and ham inside and they are different with my home country, which are sweet instead. At dinner, we ate cola chicken, pork ribs and dumplings. Also, we ate a special dish called mum’s taste. Ms Natori told us that this dish has one’s own mum’s taste, in which there were potatoes and pork. After dinner, we ate pure Fuji apples.

I really want to thank UEC and Ms Natori for giving us such a wonderful home night. I did not go back home for almost three months. And after dinner when I saw Natori sitting besides her grandson together with her family members and enjoying a balanced life, it reminds me of my own family which is several thousands of miles away from me. I feel warmness and nice atmosphere there and this experience helps me lessen my homesick. This activity is so wise and humanized. So this most usual family night gives me the most unusual memory ever in Japan. Thanks a lot!
