Call for Applications：UEC International Special Program "Language Partner" (Second Semester, 2025)

 １．Language Partner Program

The UEC International Special Program "Language Partner" is a collaborative learning and mutual understanding program that brings together MEXT scholarship students, privately financed international students, and Japanese students.

In this program, participants will form small, mixed groups (about 4-5 members) to promote intercultural exchange and mutual learning.

 (1) Main Activities

Participants will be divided into mixed groups of MEXT scholars, privately financed international students, and Japanese students, and will take part in the following activities:

• Extracurricular activities (sightseeing, sports, etc.; no specific activities are designated).
• Participation in courses or events designated by the Special Program.

For details, please refer to the program handbook.

 (2) Expected Roles

• Build friendships within the group.
• Improve Japanese, English, or other language skills through communication and collaboration.
• Expand your network beyond your group by introducing friends and acquaintances to one another.

 (3) Participation Period

Participation is possible for a limited term-either for one semester or for one academic year only.

 (4) Certificate of Participation and Completion

Participants who meet the participation requirements during the semester will receive a Certificate of Participation at the end of each semester.

2．Application for Language Partner Program

(1) Eligibility

• Graduate students
• Undergraduate students
• International research students
• Short-term exchange students
