Student Welfare Facilities

On-campus student welfare facilities are listed below. Please note that the hours are different during such periods as the vacation or an on-campus event.

Cafeteria (University Center 2F) Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. No. of seats: 300 (self-service)
Restaurant ROYAL (University Center 3F) Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. No. of seats: 160 (full service)
West Campus West Cafeteria Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No. of seats: 180 (self-service)
K–shop Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sale of foods, stationery, and sundries

Note: If you become a member of UEC Co-op, you can take advantage of various discounts and services at a Coop shop. Although you need to pay an initial fee (¥4,000) when you join, it is returned to you entirely when you terminate membership.

The following off-campus facilities can be used for research or recreation (coordinating desk: Extracurricular Activities/Student Welfare Section, Student Services Office).

Hamami House

hamamiryo.jpgLocated near the beach in Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture, this facility can be used for training programs as well as for recreation, such as tennis. Hamami House is located close to many famous tourist spots, historical sites, and bathing beaches such as Enoshima Island and Kamakura. The facility can be used year-round.

Sugadaira Seminar House

sugadaira.jpgThis is an affiliated lodging facility of Sugadaira Space Radio Observatory and can be used for training programs and recreation, as long as the activities do not interfere with the observation, research, and educational activities of the observatory. Located in Sugadaira, Nagano Prefecture, the seminar house is close to a ski resort where many winter sports can be enjoyed.
