Kokudo Scholarship Foundation - Information for FY2020 Scholarship

(For Exchange Students)

 

1. Requirements for Application

1. Students who come to Japan for studies or research; are of upstanding character and in good academic standing; are in good health; and are recognized as having financial difficulties with payment of tuition.

2. Potential recipients are those from countries outside of Japan who matriculated as regular students (either undergraduate or graduate) as of April 2020, regardless of academic department or field of study.

3. Those who can attend an interview or Skype interview in Tokyo (scheduled for the end of June).

4. We ask that an academic transcript and either a certification of enrolment or a graduation diploma be presented at the end of each academic year.

5. Recipients will be asked to join assemblies organized by our foundation.

2. Scholarship Program Overview

1. Amount Provided: ¥100,000 per month (This scholarship is paid to the recipient and does not need to be reimbursed to the foundation at a later date.)

2. Term of Scholarship: From the first year of payment until the end of the final academic year of enrolment.

3. Number of Recipients: 3 (planned)

 

3. How to Apply

1. Required Documents

1. Written scholarship application form and income survey (Using our foundations set format. Photograph required.)

 2. Letter of recommendation from either the student’s current principal or from an advising teacher/ professor.

3. Certificate of enrolment.

4. Academic transcript. (For students who are unable to provide his or her most recent transcript, submission is not necessary.)

5. Health certificate. 6. Copy of residence card.
