Online registration Information for UEC Japanese language course, Spring semester, 2024

International Education Center offers Japanese language classes for UEC students and faculty members. If you are thinking of finding a job in Japan, we recommend taking this course. The class schedule will be determined according to your graduate school/research seminar schedule. If you wish to take these class, please be sure to register even if you have not yet decided your graduate school/research seminar schedule for the Spring semester, 2024.

1) Overview of Japanese Language Classes

- Eligibility: students, faculty members, and staff of UEC (The course is free of charge)
※Spouses of the above may also enroll, depending on class size.
- Term of the course: One semester (April to August)
- Class format: Classes will be held in face-to-face. Depending on the situation, classes may be held remotely using Zoom. 
- Class content: Japanese language (introductory to advanced levels including academic skills, JLPT preparation etc. ), job hunting support

2) Course Registration

- Access the following to register for the course. The deadline is Sunday, March 17 (JST).

3) Notes

- Newly enrolled students who have previously studied Japanese have to take a placement test.
- The timetable for Japanese language course will be announced by e-mail about 10 days after the start of undergraduate and graduate classes.
- Number of lesson per week varies depending on the level. (From 1 lesson per week)
